The Learning and Development function will ensure that between now and event time every single person working for Expo 2020 is engaged to a level where they feel an unbreakable connection to Expo 2020’s vision, which inspires passion, the drive and capability to deliver an Exceptional Expo.

Opportunity Responsibilities
The purpose of the Assistant Manager, Training Operations role is to support the Learning and Development team with managing the training operations for all Event Time Training. Working closely with the wider team, they will be responsible for setting up and managing the Expo 2020 event time training center(s), with all the necessary logistics required including branding, technical equipment, scheduling and managing the day-to-day training operations.

The main responsibilities of the role include:
Responsible for coordinating the set up the Event Time Training Centre(s) – for all training logistics, technical equipment, branding etc;
Working with the official Training Supporter (Dubai Police) to ensure the off-site training center is ready to operate and function to deliver seamless training sessions;
Work with the rest of the Engagement, Training & Internal Communications team in managing the training budget and training calendar for Expo 2020 workforce;
Responsible for ensuring that every participate that attends a training session has their attendance recorded. Non-attendance reports are closely monitored and communicated with the relevant Expo functions;
Responsible for managing the operational and relationship with the Training Delivery Provider and managing all operational issues that may occur to ensure seamless operations;
Responsible for supporting the development of all the training process for all Event time training operations;
Responsible for coordinating the Event time training schedules with the support of the other Training Delivery Managers and Functions;
Deliver training programs, including Induction, soft skills and leadership programmes in line with the training calendar if required.
4+ years’ experience in training operations, as well as:

A Bachelor’s degree within a relevant field;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Immediate to advanced user of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel;
Proficient in learning and utilising IT systems to effectively manage data;
Team player with strong “people” skills;
Flexible and resilient, ability to perform in a “fluid” working environment.
