Job Purpose: As an HR Business Partner you will be part of a highly regarded and collaborative HR team. This is a generalist HR business partnering role and you will have responsibility for providing business focused and best practice HR support to a number of business areas. The role will provide HR support to the following business groups:

Corporate
RE (Real Estate)
L&DR (Litigation and Dispute Resolution)
LSS & Facilities (Secretaries and Office Assistants)
Best Delivery
In addition you will take the lead in implementing the learning and development strategy for the region, working on the core program as well as leadership development, Graduate Development and other ad-hoc learning projects.

You will be a credible and commercial Business Partner and deliver strategic priorities, working collaboratively across the HR function to provide a seamless and first class HR Service.

Key Responsibilities:

Resourcing

Responsibility for the management of local headcount plans including holding discussions with business area leaders to establish relevant staffing levels and subsequent monitoring/management of actual headcount to budgeted/required headcount;
Works with key stakeholders to develop the appropriate resourcing strategy to bring in the best talent across all groups and functions;
Provides advice on internal secondment and client secondment process in conjunction with the global mobility team
Work with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to source the best talent for the region for your groups, both internal and external candidates
In conjunction with the Resource Manager monitor Partner/Associate leverage and reviews utilisation levels to assist in improved profitability;
Works closely with Practice Area Leaders and Partners to define and address overall performance issues or gaps impacting the success of business performance and/or strategy;
Talent Development

Work with the global Academy to drive locally relevant learning and development initiatives; across the region
Manage the delivery of the local Academy curriculum for the region; scheduling and coordinating the courses; marketing the courses to increase attendance
Promote the use of the Academy portal and the available online content across the region
Develop local training initiatives and events for the region in conjunction with the Head of HR & Talent
Keep abreast of trends in the L&D industry and local market
Supports the identification of future Leaders within their groups through talent mapping and succession planning;
Responsibility for the successful running of the appraisal and feedback process;
Creating a learning environment that supports a range of career options;
Assess, develop and deliver both the just in time and long term learning plans for your groups;
Co-ordinates all promotion rounds within their groups;
Provides development and coaching support (or facilitates coaching) to leaders support them in realising their teams potential.
Graduate Development

Lead the development of the trainees on the local training scheme
Conduct regular career development meetings with the local trainees in conjunction with the London team and advise on any performance or conduct issues
Manage the UAE seat allocation process ensuring business needs are met and a fair and transparent process for the trainees
Advise the London graduate scheme on trainee secondment numbers and available seats
Manage and advise on the trainee rotation with the talent acquisition specialist and HR Expert
Manage the trainee qualification process advising the business on the best qualification options for their needs
Manage and develop the NQ program to improve NQ retention and ease the trainee > Associate transition
Develop initiatives to continuously improve the performance and retention of local trainees


Employee Relations

Advises on any employee relations'' issues arising liaising with the central ER specialists as appropriate. Keeps up to date with all essential aspects of employment legislation;
Ensures the communication and implementation of Employee Relations policies in business areas e.g. absence management, disciplinary and dispute resolution;
Undertakes face to face exit interviews with leavers and provides feedback and guidance to Partners and business leaders on our current employment proposition and practices.
Projects/Communications

Management of annual salary and bonus review processes with the Head of HR & Talent
Creates and manages the people agenda and annual plan ensuring it is aligned to the local and global strategic objectives;
Manages a relevant programme of communications to support the local and global people agenda;
Provides proactive and commercial advice on any relevant changes to team structures;
Works with the Practice Area Leader and business leaders on diversity goals and specific initiatives to increase the retention and promotion of underrepresented groups (e.g. women) into Partner roles;
Promote the biennial Clifford Chance Survey with local groups and analyse and engage employees on an action focused output plan;
Manage the annual legal market salary survey with the HR Expert
Key Requirements

Experience:

You will be energetic, collaborative and delivery focused in your approach.

You will have significant relevant experience as a generalist HR Business Partner in a large and complex organisation (ideally legal or professional services) with a highly trained workforce and a reputation for HR service excellence;

You will have experience in learning and development and talent management through conception, design and overseeing delivery.

Experience working in MENA will be an advantage;

You will have experience of working both strategically and operationally within HR, ideally with a good understanding of a Partnership Culture;

You will have a proven track record of developing and implementing HR initiatives which have demonstrably contributed to achieving business objectives and enhanced overall business performance.

Skills:

Strong intellectual and analytical skills with the flexibility to manage detail as well as think conceptually and creatively;

Strong communications skills. An ability to form good relationships at all levels across an organisation;

Strong commercial awareness and a reputation for excellent client service.

Knowledge:

Broad knowledge of modern HR practice;

Learning and Development expertise

Qualifications: You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have formal HR qualifications or equivalent experience e.g. CIPD, coaching.
